Bluemix access?

Are the participants going to have Bluemix access for this hackathon?

    Hi Rob,

    Thanks for your question. Since Bluemix is not a required tool for this hackathon extended Bluemix trials are not being provided. That said, you may still sign up for and use a 30-day Bluemix trial if you wish.

    Thank you for the update. I used up my 30 day trial on previous hackathons. It would be nice if IBM would open up a Bluemix trial for this hackathon.

    It says "Any application that is or was funded or compensated, partially or fully, by IBM for its development is not eligible for entry." so if you are sponsored Bluemix access, you would not be able to submit said app.

    Hi Rob,

    Typically, we only offer free options for required services. In this case, Apache Spark is the required service, not the Bluemix service - Analytics for Apache Spark.

    Either way - if free Bluemix accounts do become available we'll be sure to alert everyone.
